Default '95 gsr idle issues

my car has not been idling right for the past week. normal idle is a steady 750rpm. however, for the past week, my car is having a rapid idle from 1100rpm to 2100rpm. this happens when the car is cold, warming up, hot... THE WHOLE TIME the car is on.

*things i thought would be the problem... 1. fast idle thermo valve(fitv). 2. air idle control valve(aicv). 3. throttle position sensor(tps). 4. map sensor(map).

i took the time today to look upon the fitv. from reading what people have said,... if the fitv is faluty, you will know that when you put your finger over the hole to plug the fitv's passage in the throttle body. by pluging it, you restrict the airflow from that valve to the engine. i tested this method, and to my surprise... i found out that if i plug the hole intthe throttle body that leads to the fitv... it idled normal. therefore i took off my throttle body and ajdusted the white plastic thing in there(i screwed it back all the way). ... bolted everything back up. started it and it was fine for like 1 min. from that point on(after 1 min.) it kept on doing the same(rapid idle). i checked again by pluging the hole with my finger... this time, it made no difference. i'm bummed out now. , and im trying to seek your advice.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
since this rapid idleing happens when the car is at any operating temp., what do you guys think can be at fault?

**i can i just use a map sensor from any honda?( i don't know if any other honda map sensor is compatible or not to my gsr),

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

besides those four things i mentioned above, can an air leak cause this rapid idleing issue too?(im pretty sure it could though)... just thought i throw it out there.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

sorry for such a long post. i just wanted to be as detailed as i can.

bingo... after very carefull examination, my intake mani gasket on the cyc 1 side ripped(some how it probably got sucked in). the gasket where it's leaking is right on top of where the injector is. that damn thing...

anyways, do you think that that little piece of gasket could have done any harm to the motor?
