2000 Honda Accord SE Fuel Tank Sensor
I have a trouble code P1456 which states that the fuel tank temp. sensor circuit malfunction. what do I look for to correct this condition and reset the dash light.
Check your code list again...
P1456 should be an EVAP leak - fuel tank system.
Basically, your fuel tank isn't airtight like it's supposed to be. This is the code for a loose or leaking gas cap, but there's a handful of other things that can cause it.
After you rule out a bad gas cap, you can look for loose or disconnected vent hoses around the gas filler pipe. Maybe a leaky gasket where the fuel pump or gauge sender are mounted in the tank. Eventually you can worry about the pressure sensor on top of the fuel tank.
