96specR vs 98specR headlights
can anyone tell me the difference between teh two??
from what I've heard the major difference is that the fog light doesn't have a yellow cover inside the 96specr they have a yellow bulb where as the 98specr they have a yellow cover with a white bulb inside .
can anybody shed some light on this matter?

Both are black housing, 96 spec is non-HID, 98 spec is HID.
I've never heard this rumor about the foglights. I'm fairly certain that both types of lights have a yellow cover with a clear bulb inside.

Yes, I checked to make sure and they're all the same.
BTW, the chrome headlights are for non-ITR's. I don't know why they're called commonly referred to as "SiR-G" headlights. All non-ITR's have the same chrome housing headlights.

The chrome housings are from the 95-up Integra SiR-G. That SiR-G is the equivalent to the U.S.'s Integra GSR (motor wise) SiR-G's are the same front end as the Type R, but with chrome housing headlights and no front lip.
BTW, the way you can tell the difference between 96/98 headlights, is the 98's have a clear circle on the lens around the where the hid projector shines through. The 96 maintains the pattern of lines that goes across the lens.
That's how you can tell without seeing the back of the housing whether or not it has a hid ballast on them.

This is possibly the easiest way to visually recognise 96 and 98spec!
