I wrote the thread about putting a JDM catback onto a USDM EP3, and the header & cat were taken from a Type-S because of their longer length.
IF the base RSX has a header & cat assembly that's the same length as the EP3's stock parts, then they'll be too short to fit a Type-S catback.
Also, the part numbers for catback systems are different for base and -S versions.
A Type-S exhaust can fit, and can be a simple bolt-on procedure if you change the header & cat as well... that's what I would say at the moment WITHOUT checking out the parts in person.
