Whats the difference between LX & EX? I got 2 new axles, u joints, brake pads, wheel cylinders, and sway bar links for an LX, But the accord i am working on is an EX. Will this matter?

LX usually has drum brakes in back. EX has disk brakes in back (no wheel cylinders and pads instead of shoes.) You should be able to see if it's drum or disk through the wheel before you start.

 

im assuming this is all front end stuff.....the drivetrain up front should be the same. i dont think the end links on the sway bar will work though

 

No wheel cylinders either. On disk brakes

 

So will the axle's work? Yes it has drums in the rear. Why wont the sway bar links work?

bars are different on the EX and the LX

 

Are you sure it's an EX. They are supposed to have four wheel disk brakes. Does it have a moonroof?

 

No moon roof and drums, it must be an LX

also, on the differences between the front stabilizer bars...i was under the impression that the only difference was the actual bar itselfs diameter?

 

i think it depends on the year. my 91 ex wagon has drums on the rear. and yes i know the differences between lx and ex. i don't think disk for the rear for ex kicked in til 92. the se and ex has disk on 92-93 and above.

My 2000 SE has drums, since it's based off the LX. I figured a Special Edition package would run off the EX, but I was wrong...

 

Last time I checked, my 92 EX had 4 wheel disc brakes, not disk.
