Default noob question. help me tho

does worn out spark plugs lose horse power?? and how often do we have to change them

Depends on what modifications you have to your car. If you have anythign that would cause your motor to run rich or lean, i.e. a fuel pressure regulator or a vafc, then you might have to change them more often due to errors in tuning. Some people on here, such as shamoo I think, have said that they have left their spark plugs in for tens of thousands of miles and had them be fine.

Bad spark plugs could cause your car to run like crap, which in essence is robbing you of horsepower.

When I did in fact change them after a long time, my throttle response was a little quicker, and the engine started with less cranks.

Spark plugs can be bad with out them even be fouled or carboned up. you should change Iridium & platinum every 60k & regular about every 30k. It can & will hurt performance and mileage if they are bad. My Race car has shown the difference between good or bad on the dyno.

The Honda manual recommends you change them every 30K miles. It might be 60K....might want to check to make sure.
