Default all spark plugs were gapped diff sizes. help!!!

I had this shop tune my car, overall it was good. But they said id need some new plugs (bkr7e's) So they through them in, then today, i pulled them & checked their gap. cyl #1-#2 were .32, cyl #3 was .29, & cyl #4 was .35

The car sometimes cut-out @ 6200 rpms & was jerky under normal driving.

Anyone think i found the answer???

so its been 4-5months since it was tuned?

If so, u should have changed the plugs by now and they probably moved gap from being in there so long.

New ones should clear it up and its not the shops fault nesscarlily.

i have only gone about 1200 miles all summer. i need to change plugs sooner now?

never heard of spark plugs having their gap change, esspecially in less than 1500 miles!

for the most part. sometimes it cuts out at high rpms, when im driving normally, at 35-40mph, it chugs like im stepping on the gas & letting off constantly.

I just thought that for being a complete standalone unit, it isnt too bad.

i forgot. when shuting off & starting up the car more than 3 times, it just cranks, then i fire-up my laptop & send a new calibration to the AEM box, then it starts right up. I plan on sending the box into AEM to have them fix any issues with the box.

sounds like a lean spot. did they tune part throttle or only WOT?

put some new plugs in the car. 7's shouldnt foul out that easily. 9's and 10's foul out quick, i had ot change my plugs every 3 months when i was run n NGK 10's.

thats gaps arent crazy out of spec anyways. and they come with much larger gap than that so someone changed the gap before installing. i think there are problems with the tune.

well a new set and regapping is obviously the easiest and cheapest place to start. i dont think ht car should feel "jerky" from the plugs though. unless they are fouled or something. i change my bkr7e's every other oil change or so.

ok. today i was out driving & i noticed that my AFR with full boost on WOT was 10.0-11.2, then the car would cut-out like crazy.

Am i running way too lean??? after it cut-out a few times i just took it back to my storage garage & parked it!!!!

thats unlikely. sounds like your blowing out spark. witch means you need a smaller gap.

.30 gap is more then enough for his HP if you want you can upgrade your Coil to an external one that will help but you do not need to gap it any less then that.

Mine is set at .32 with the same HP level.

your plugs are not the reason its running like that.

were talking about a couple thousandth's of an inch here. you gaps should be at .030, not .30
