Default Just bought a hatch

Ok well this is my first post here, but I have just bought a 92-95 HB that needs some work. The car is originally red but has been primered and has a body kit molded to the body...what is the best way to get this off...what grit will I need? etc..I plan on buying all new bumpers and then sending it off to paint..any help is appreciated.

no offense, but why did you buy the car if it had a molded in body kit that you don't even like? i hope you got it super cheap or something, cuz thats an awful lot of work to get the car to a point where it looks stock.

I got the car for $250 so i figure if its a loss then oh well. The bodykit is supposedly put on with bondo...so im guessing sandpaper will take care of it...ill post pics this weekend. I bought it as a project not as a daily I have an XB for that so I dont need this project to be done in a month or anything. Thanks for the help guys

Ok so its officially in my garage now...just got it ten min. ago and the biggest job will be the sides. The front bumper is stock and seems to be in good condition and the rear needs a new bumper, so that solves those problems...would it be worth the money to just pay a body shop to take the molded sides off? Or is it really not to much of a pain to take these off? After this I have to put the whole interior together hahaha

you would have to do a prefessional cut on the sideskirts since is molded in the the fender and rear courter pannel., after cutting the sideskirts i dink u have to change the fender. alot of work,

to post a picture do this

find a host for the file online, like http://www.putfile.com

then put the image url in, putfile automatically does it for you and you just copy and paste, the tags are.

[ img ]yourimageurl[ /img] without any spaces in it

you should get jdm fenders and side markers b4 your paint it. that would look nice. also have you looked into getting the siR wing instead of the duckbill wing. just giving my option.
