Body Kit Repair *Need Help*
I've searched google and all for body kit repair steps and ideas but I need little more explanation or suggestion on what to do. I have fiberglass body kit (I know there prone to crack and all), but the back is starting to crack pretty badly and I wanna know the best way to fix it right.
I bought some of that fiber thread stuff that you gotta mix then dip the thread in it then apply to the body kit and it was horrible lol. I cannot use that for a ****. Is there any bondo type stuff like you can use on metal or repair dents for fiberglass?
I just need some help and suggestions on what to do. I don't have a camera to take a picture, but I can take a picture from my cell phone and send to yours of what the body kit looks like if need be.
Thanks in advance.

u dont want the tiger thread fiberglass man its weaved u want to get bondo so u can just smooth it out with sanding and then spray it later....problem is u have to repaint it to get rid of the multirepaircolor nightmare, but then again it might be in ur best bet to get a new bumper if its cracked that bad....

junkyard or buy some stock bumpers and side skirts. There are very few kits that look good for civics and the ones that do are $$$$.

I've gotten many compliments on how my car looks (aside from the cracking body kit part). I'll try and get pictures of it, but it's probably going to be cell phone quality lol.

The bumper would be fine if the previous owner didn't drill unnecessary holes on it for no reason and then having your dumbass brother jump your car doin 80mph lol -.-
The rest of the body kit is in good shape (besides little scrapes here and there from hitting stuff my fault lol).
Surprisingly the front bumper is in the best shape and i've hit so much stuff (dead animals, curbs, everything lol). And not a single crack or mark, besides underneath.
Look I understand OEM is the best way to go blah blah blah, but i'm not about OEM parts...My entire outside of the car has been changed one way or another and i'm keeping it like that because I enjoy having a different style car then everyone else on the street and it's something I enjoy working on. If none of the stuff was in my interest, then I wouldn't of bought a civic.

In that case, like previous posters said, it's just bondo and a lot of sanding, then have someone respray it.
Moderate body work is not extremely difficult, but it is very labor intensive.

How thin is the fiberglass? Is it cracking on the inside of the bumper as well? Bondo is not a repair, it's used to level off surfaces in very thin amounts. To repair fiberglass, you add more fiberglass. Using the wall mart crap is not the best, but still better than just slapping bondo on top of it.

The rest are just paint basically spider webbing not the plastic.

Re: Body Kit Repair *Need Help*
The crack needs to be fixed properly by mixing glass strands and resin and laying it over the inside of the area after proper prep then allowing it to set up. Then you'll need to prep the outside again for paint.
Wood or metal is not a fix, fiberglass get brittle over time with age and heat and uv exposure.
If it's plastic, you need to plastic weld it. If it's just spider webbing the paint it was probably painted improperly with an improper flex agent combined with the glass deteriorating.
