Default JRSC with ATS 4.9FD ????

i just ordered a JRSC (8.5psi) and i have the ATS 4.9FD in my R now.. can this work, will it be safe or should i have the stock FD put back in????

It might rev out rather quickly....ending the fun too soon.....

most of the boosted setups run the 4.400

They're two unrelated systems, so there will be no problem. If by problem you mean first gear will be unusable, THEN you might have an issue

The only thing 1st gear is good for anyways is going around the drive-thru at Taco Bell. Seriously, though, I would love to try the 4.9FD in my jrsc'd car.

my main concern is on the highway in 5th gear at 80mph sitting at 5200rpms, can the charger handle that????

It should be just fine. That isnt going to be excessive blower speeds, and it's not like you are going to be in boost either when you are just cruising on the highway at partial throttle.

I've never done any long-term highway cruising at 5000rpm.

However, my jrsc has no trouble with 25 minute hpde sessions where the rpm's go to 9000rpm and rarely drop below 5200rpm. I couldn't even begin to tell you how many track miles are on my jrsc, and the jrsc has never given me any trouble.

if my turbo doesn't have any problems, then your blower surely shouldn't.

It's just more fun.....
