I have a set of ground controls on the oem shocks in my ek hatch,(previous owner) It's now time to change out the oem shocks and i want to know which shocks besides oem will fit over the current ground control sleeves?


When i had my vw with the same set up, i needed to order new sleeves because they couldn't slip over the bilsteins i bought.

 

I believe Bilsteins are made by Koni (unless I'm thinking wrong). Your Ground Controls will fit over any other brand of shock besides Koni, & Bilsteine. The only problem is that fitting coil-over sleeves to any other brand of shock voids that shocks warranty. Only Koni NA will honor their shocks warranties with coil-overs. And for that to be in effect, you will need the proper sleeves & nuts (gold adjuster)...

Your current ground controls will slide over Tokicos and KYBs.
