So, anyone attempted an Rx-7 shift buzzer in their car?
I miss the sound of running my Rx-7 to redline and hearing that buzzer, since it's a parts car now, i have the buzzer still and no use for it. The engines redline about the same RPM, so, anyone attempted it and it work, or am i going to have to be the first and post a How-To, or the first to discover it fails?
I was also thinking about using uberdata's CEL shift light feature and just wiring the buzzer to that, not sure if the buzzer works off a certain voltage or if the Rx-7's ECU just sends a signal at a certain RPM.
No real point in this, so don't flame, just something to keep me busy, i do pointless little projects like this alot.

yeah I also want to see a pic of a buzzer making noise... J/K

Okay, i discovered the speaker is a part of the gauge cluster circuitry, i desoldered it and messed with the tach's circuit board trying to get it to work before discovering it's as simple as running a ground to it, running a resistor between the power and signal prongs and giving it 12vs.

reminds me of a $3.29 radio shack buzzer

you can always build up the AICV control in your ECU and run the output of that to the buzzer. then you can set it to any RPM you want.
