Default Cruise Control Harness

I heard that this is located behind the gauge cluster somewhere... Can anyone confirm this? I am looking all over for one, but the dealer wants $1100 brand new, b/c I have to buy the whole thing from them.. Where can I find just the harness, or is it in the car behind the speedo?

check out http://www.sandmracing.com or talk to D...he did this install on his R and I KNOW FOR A FACT that he wouldn't spend that kind of cash on it, so there has to be a better way.

Yeah I don't wanna pay that much either... I tried calling various salvage yards around here, but none of them want to cut into the Cruise Control just to give me the harness... Is it in our Rs already ?!

nope, cruise 'harness' is not in our cars. i believe you would have to swap out your entire wiring harness, i believe it is integral to the cruise equiped cars, someone correct me if i'm wrong on that. build your own... i have all the info on our site, it is a pain in the *** of an install, but can be done very cheaply.

email/im me if you need info other than what's on our site.

D

you have all the pieces to install?

Chris, when someone provides a link, you might want to follow it. When you do, you will find instructions on installing CC into a type-r. When you don't, you look like a moron (and it gives Ross yet another reason to call you a moron).

Here's a direct link since j00 is too lazy or something to follow the link to the site itself.

Wait, I think I was misunderstood.. I need to know how to wire the Fog Light Switch, and people have told me to use the Cruise Control harness.. I don't want cruise control in my R.

Is it just me, or can anyone else not find info on the fog light switch under mods on S&M Racing...
Fog light switch? what you talking about? fog light switch is part of OEM fog light kit.

FYI- he doesn't want to install a cruise control system, he wants just the harness for the cruise control button. Why? For his JDM fog light button.
And you call him an idiot for not reading others posts! lol

maybe i'm confused, but what the hell does the cruise control wiring harness have to do with a JDM fog light switch? you just want the 5 prong connector? if so, go to any friggin pull it yourself junk yard, and cut one out of the massive ammounts of wrecked cruise equiped integras.

weird way of asking a question i think..

no such thing as a cruise control harness.... so, the question itself is misleading. harness eludes to multitudes of wire, not just a 3 inch section with one connector of the 7 or 8 included in the 'cruise control harness'

errr....

dude, the thing we need is the blue harness that connects in back of the cruise control button so we can use it to turn are fogs on and off on our jdm fronts!

Chris, I already spoke with your dad. Should all be taken care of.
You don't want the whole harness Just the plug that plugs into the back of the cruise control switch. If you call around Most salvage yards wont cut up a harness and will want 200-300 for the harness
What you'll have to do is go to a salvage yard that lets you get your own parts, Then you can just cut the part you need off the main harness. Probably cost $5-$15

aight..... only found one G3 teg at the yard this morning..... and i'm too lazy to drive around to multiple places.

one cruise control switch 5 pin blue terminal connection.... or, for you challenged with the concept of a electrical harness.... one blue 'crusie control harness'....

i can't decide who gets it...

I don't get why the junkyards out here are so ******* shady.... There could be a stack of those harness' behind the employee, and he'd still deny they had them, and wouldn't even sell them to the customer...
