i got a little problem, its 2000 mustang and the rear calipers pistons wont go back,

i've tried

i tried renting those tools to turn the piston back in and still nothing its turning but its not really going back in...

any suggestions,,

one of the rear pads went to the metal on metal contact, dont know if that could have seized the caliper..

Make sure your ebrake is not engaged. Otherwise if the piston is spinning it should retract. Watch your brake fluid reservoir and see if it over flows, if it does take some old fluid out.

I think on the fords, depending on what side of the car you are wokring on, you either have to turn it clockwise or counterclockwise while adding pressure to retract the pistson.

open the bleeder screw. put a tube on it so you dont spill fluid everywhere.

finally got it done, i was using one of those cheap $4 universal piston pusher, i had to get a professional tool, those pistons where really hard,

opening up the bleeder screw wasn't helping, i had to unbold the line then i got it after a lot of cursing!
thanx guys.
