Default Few weird things about new integra

I just bought a 94 GSR from a dealership where I work this past saturday. I haven't had much time to really check it out but what I do know is that it has a fuel rail, throttle body, an apexi avcr-II controller, and possibly a new intake manifold.

Anyways, the car drives like a dream but the gas pedal is kinda sticky, when you go to press it at first with light pressure the pedal doesn't wanna go anywhere, then with more pressure the pedal will move but kinda forcefully making the rev's go up kinda high (makes it difficult to start out in first without riding the clutch along time), anyways to make it short its difficult to really ease into the throttle and I'm wondering if this can be adjusted or fixed.

Also sometimes when I shift into 2nd gear the car seems like it has little power then all of a sudden the power kicks back and the car surges ahead, when I shift into 3rd everything clears up and the car run fine.

Sorry for the long post but im new to the forum and also new to the import scene, just got out of the mini-trucking scene before buying this integra so I appreciate any help.

Post pics of what?

Another thing happened tonight guys, I was at a stoplight and the car was ideling around 1300 rpms then all of a sudden the revs dropped to like 600 rpms, then slowly worked its way back up, any idea on whats out of adjustment on this?

Secondly, the shifting into 2nd, lack of power, then all of a sudden power situation happened again tonight, seems like it could be tied into the throttle cable, or possibly something else.

do you know for a fact if you have a after market IM?.......most after markets don't have butterflys....and a GS-R Vtec engagement is really low so causeing the car to boggle sometimes if you have a aftermarket Intake manifold....and as far as the sticky gas....might need to be adjusted..

My Dad's Toyota Tacoma did the EXACT same thing. I went out to autozone, bought a can of "Throttle Body Cleaner" and took off the intake tube. I sprayed it all up in the throttle body and on the TPS and where the cable connects. Then i had my dad pump the gas while i sprayed it into the throttle body. (w/ car off, obviously.) we put the intake tube back on, tightened up the little clamp, and it works like a dream now. smooth as steppin in ****!

Is your CEL on, it can possibly be the Throttle Position Sensor

Try doing what Tippyman98 did with cleaning the throttle body and tps

Sorry if I confused some of you guys, but the Apexi unit in my car is the V-AFC II, which I know nothing about at this point (gotta read the manual yet), the controller might not be set right which may be causing the weird bogging but this is just an assumption.

Also I tried to look for some kind of logo on my intake manifold but couldn't see anything, but I looked at some photos online of stock B18C engines and the intakes manifolds on those are different then whats on mine, which leads me to believe that the guy put an aftermarket manifold on. I wish I had a camera to take some pics, i'll work on that in the coming days.

VAFC is for controlling your air/fuel ratio. It could definately have something to do with your bogging if it's configured incorrectly, although the stiffness of the pedal definately sounds more like the throttle body/cable.

Yea, when I go to have the oil changed (coming days) i'll have them adjust my throttle cable and make sure it was installed correctly, and i'll probably clean out the throttle body myself.

Thanx for the help guys, i've spent alot of time on s10forum.com and heard alot about this site, and so far it lives up the its name, a great forum.
