Horrible acceleration below 2000RPM
so im driving and i take off it hesitates then kinda studders and sounds really bad what could be the problem. it was raining outside i dont know why it does it. it is a GSR motor with 120,000 miles could it be something wrong with the head or block or could it just be i need new plugs and wires? or maybe a distributor?
crappy accell under 2k usually means congestion ... ( hence 120k) run some sea foam too !
also seen clogged cats have this effect but through out the whole powerband more

If your in this forum because you have a 92-00civic/ Sol then listen to this.
Before going any further..
look at your intake manifold...
locate your fuel rail...
on the driverside there is a metal tube that is shaped like an L sticking out.. close to the fuel rail.
Check to see if a small black tube is connected to this L looking thing.
This tube comes from the intake manifold then connects near the fuel rail.
This signals/regulates fuel pressure at idle and during acceleration.
I've seen the exact same problems you were having in your car with many other 95HB and 93-97 sols. This tube might also have some condensation.. ice forming from cold temps. GSR motor should be no different...
If this doesn't work.. sry
Try looking at your headgasket or if your valve cover is fasten correctly.
