Recently my car has been having an idle control problem; the rpm's move from 1000-3800 when cold, then goes down from 1000-2000. I thought it could be the idle control valve, but they told me it had to be throwing codes; which is not throwing any. So my concern is: Could it be the idle control or would it be something else that I should check?

I'm worried about my baby....any help can be appreciated, and thanks guys.

P.S. I searched but nothing really came out about no codes but idle problem.

 

A dirty/malfunctioning IACV will not ALWAYS throw out a code. You should try cleaning it first and see what happens.
