Default new clutch and grinding?

I had jus gone to the tracks about 3 weeks ago and my clutch just got destroyed. The disc was broken in 3 places. Something the mechanic said he had never seen. Anyways, i got the clutch changed and now that i shift into 3rd at about 3500rpm or higher it grinds. Why is this?

its not ur clutch, its ur synchros. replace the 3gear synchro.

Well, that's the worse case. It's not ALWAYS the synchros. It could be the linkage not aligning, the clutch (various bearings) not installed correctly, transmission fluid flush/replace/fill.

well, it only grinds on third so that was my first guess. if it was anything else, wouldnt it have an effect on 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th?

thats my guess.

and yeah, banned again. for no apparent reason.

not alwasy the synchros could be the linkage is alligned right also if it is your syncros your better off replacing all of them with some carbon coated syncros and replacing all the bearings and seals if opeing it up http://www.gear-speed.com is a great website all about Honda/Acura transmission rebuilds. also better off getting a clutch master cylinder gets rid of those grinds plus you get better clutch response

check you bleeding on the clutch fluid, the clutch might not be dis-engaging all the way...iuno its possible, if something wasnt installed right.
