B16A2 block question...
I got B16A2 block ( its stock ) and its out of the car. I want to put type r pistons, can i use b16 rods and crank with type r pistons ? and if the cylinder walls are bed and i would have to bored them out, the type r pistons will still fit ?? or i would have to get some other pistons ? thanx in advance.
have your cylinders checked if they are good you can use the stock type r pistons with your rods. if not youll have to get it bored/honed and buy oversized pistons.

If you want to stay with OEM pistons and your cylinders need to be bored out, Honda also makes 0.25mm Civic Type R oversize pistons.
If you want to go aftermarket, there are a whole lot of different choices but it really depends on your budget and goal.
Yes you can use the CTR pistons with your B16A2 rods and crank BUT the small end of the rods need to be machined down to fit into the new pistons.
I'm sure you'll find a write-up if you search around here.

Thanx alot that helped me alot......
One more question, cuz my buddy got B17A1 Block bored out to 84mm, and that came with JE Pistons 81mm ( 11.5 Compression on stock v-tec head) is that a good set up ? will those pistons fit that block ?

ITR pistons LOWER the compression in an otherwise stock B16A2 - don't do it unless you want to lose power over a stock B16A2.
Go with B16A or CTR pistons.
