I was driving in Sacramento, and a ******* cops followed me for a block and decided to pull me over. My car is pretty stock, just add on Wingswest lip kit and an oem si spoiler on my black ex. Pulls me over, and saids, your exhaust is illegal. I went to court before, and the judge dismissed me since my greddy is 50 state legal. So i say to the cop, I have paper works to prove that its legal, I even have my court paper. ******* cop saids, I dont want to see it, and said the cop earlier probably wrote you for the wrong ticket. Then he asks me to pop the hood. He sees my Injen CAI and saids where is the eo#, then he is like, why is that vacuum hose red, then he says its illegal. I was like, wtf, its just a freaking hose that came with the intake. Then he sees my foglight wiring harness, hes like, what is that. So i was like, its my wiring for my factory fog light, wtf is wrong with that. So he stopped talking about the stuff under the hood. Bastard is just out to get me. At the end, he is telling me i can fix it and pay a fix it ticket fine, or pay a full fine. I was like NO, I'll see you in court. He spent like 10 minutes looking over my car, and didn't even bother to take a sec to look at my court paper for my exhaust. Damn Pigs

By the way, when I went to court a year ago, the judge yelled at the cop saying why they didn't look at my paper work and wasted the court time by giving me a ticket on the exhaust. I hope this judge will do the same.

 

some cops are like that. Got nothing better to do than harass people with petty stuff. Just tell the judge that you tried showing him the paper and he declined. for them bacons

 

Yeah, this isn't the first time, I got pulled over half a year ago in Sac, the cop took a look at my paper and told me that I was lucky that i carry it, otherwise he woulda wrote me a ticket. That cop was just out to harass me.

 

i feel you, it was 4 years ago when I got pulled over! Before the race scene really started to come to the midwest. I has a 94 LS drop about 2 1/2 inches,a type R spoiler, type R exhuast, intake and euro tail lights right when they came out. I got pulled over like 2-3 for the same crap. Illegal this illegal that but when I went down to the court they dismissed everything, what a waste of my time but I just hate Pigs they just want to mess up your day!

 

The freaking sad part was I drove 4 blocks away to pick some stuff from the grocery store, and I just came out the parking lot and was on the way home. Can't they leave me a lone for 4 freaking blocks.

 

i agree take that pig to court, i had the same problem with the red hose and replaced it with a black ruber hose and the next time i got pulled over the cop didint say anything, but i did get a fix it ticket for not having a cover on my timing belt and not having carb legal header, he sent me to a state ref that sucked

 

I have a few sugeestions:

1. Deal with it and just pay the fine each time.

2. Fight it in court each time and if the same cop keeps pulling you over file a report/complaint.

3. Put your stock exhaust back on.

 

I guess i gotta take those pigs to the court each and everytime.
I'm gonna file a complaint on them. They gave me crap, i give them some back, its only fair. HEHE

Second you will lose, you will lose everytime you take the police or the city to court. It will cost you alot more in court fees than it would be to pay your lil ricer ticket. If you think your going to go to make a statement your wrong noone gives a flyin f uck. Pay the ticket and move on with your life.

 

I duno where you are from, but I took 3 cops to court, and got away with all three. All my stuff are 50 state legal, and they just dont look at my papers.

Not in CA, you have the right to fight the ticket and if the cop doesn't show (sometimes they don't) you get your money back and the fine is dismissed.

 

try living down the street from the EGPD station.. then drive about 8 miles to work, across the street from the sac sherrif office. Nothing illegal on my SER which I daily drive yet get pulled over often. :thumbs down:

 

all the car stuff / stores are all in cali, but im glad i dont have to deal with things like that.

That's why we have rights, if he wants to fight the ticket let him. He might get off on a technicality. Rich people get away with murder, why can't regular folks like us get away with something as minor as this?
