motor mount question

Default motor mount question

hey i have a 97 accord ex. it is a five speed and it has broken motor mounts. i was looking on ebay for the mounts and some of them say things like for automatic accord models. does it really matter if the mounts are for automatic or stick. olease help. im a civic guy this is the first time i have an accord. i bought this one a week ago.

not sure which are reusable, but some ARE different between models

Have you asked the sellers?? They should be able to give an answer....
also... have you tried to search more specifically into motor mounts for 5sp accords?

for sure. I bought it for my h swap and didnt end up needing it. its just taking up space along with my koyo radiator and front and rear camber kits i never installed.

yes the mounts are different, buy mounts for your specific application.

front and driverside moutn are all the same between auto and 5spd

tranny side mount is different between auto and 5spd

rear mount is differnte between auto and 5spd, AND with a 5spd model, the rear is different between DX/LX and EX. DX and LX share the same rear 5spd mount, the EX has a different rear 5spd mount.


if your front is busted, jsut get an energy suspension insert, and be done with it. anything else ur gonna need to get new ones from a dealer
