I have a 94 Accord EX how are the New Gens?
Yea I have the 5th how much better are the other Gens. I wont get the latest Gen since I only have about 8k to spend. How much better are the other gens like 6-7th? I really want a 00 Accord EX Coupe V6 VTEC, in black with leather. I think that car is perfect. what do you guys think? And does the honda V6 really just have 20 MPG City? cuz im a city driver and 20 MPG is horrid. But good in V6 Standards.
Honestally you have one of the best Accords in terms of reliability and living well into 400K miles.
The newer Accord you mentioned isn't bad either but they arent anything special in horsepower but so far they are proving to be just as durable.
Personally I would keep the older one.

It's a package I've been eyeing for quite some time myself, and will most likely be my next purchase. I suspect (however) that I may have to make room in the stable, since it's pretty full already (refer below).
If I wait for natural attrition, it will be quite a while

I personally wouldn't want to get a 2000 V6 for the sole reason that they are only available with automatic transmissions. On top of that these transmissions are notoriously unreliable. Like moogocow3 said, the 5th gens are pretty good cars, and with 8 grand to spend i don't know if you would want to upgrade to a newer accord unless your current one has some really big problems.

I agree, if your 5th gen is treating you well, you might as well keep it.
Since the 6th gen v6's only came in AT, maybe a manual EX would get you the mpg you would like and still be fun to drive. Plus i believe the trannies on the v6 automatics aren't very good. My dad's 6th gen EX 4cyl is alot more responsive with acceleration than i thought, even though it is an automatic. But i still like my 5th gen just cause of the style and i am so used to it. Hoping that it'll keep treating me well.
It would be pretty hard to get a 7th gen for 8k i would think, at least one in good shape.

You say you won't get the latest gen because of money but you say how is the 6-7th gen? The 7th gen is the latest gen. And I have to agree, if your 5th gen is doing well keep it.

Take half of your money and stick it in savings. With the other half, fix any and all problems with your 5th gen and maybe a little extra.

Stick with the 5th Gen unless it is about done...... way nicer looking then the 6th gen imo and the transmissions don't suck.... I have no idea where your at on the odo but you could hit 300k no problem it you keep it well mantained..
