Default Need help with tachometer and OBD II Code P0725

I have a 96 Accord V6 and the tachometer works when I start the car but eventualy stops working after a few minutes. Has anyone ever encounterd this problem? My check engin light is also on with a OBD II Diagnostic Trouble Code P0725 (Engine Speed input Circuit Malfunction or Engine Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction). Could this be related to the tachometer? I just had transmission work done and the guy says that the problem is related to the rotor, not the speed censor. Someone please help

P0725 is..... guess what? "Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction"
Which effects.... what? ECM (sets a code) AND Tachometer !!!!!

You've lost the tach RPM signal.

Probably has a bad ignition coil. They have an internal resistor that the tcm uses to drive the tach.
