Default Question about pistons?

First does a 1990-1991 Ls have 82mm pistons? I am looking at getting Aries pistons but looking at the Summit log for 90-92 Ls all they have is 81mm. The block will be going to a machine shop for honing, so should I wait and let them tell me what pistons to get? Thanks for any help you can give me. I am building a Nitrous motor so I want everything to be bullet proof, or close to it.

Yes, they do have 81mm pistons as mentioned already. However, I would wait until the machine shop has finished with the honing/machining. Depending on the condition of the cylinders, you may have to get something bigger.

Note that the largest you can go on stock Honda sleeves (as per recommended by Honda) is 0.020 over, or an 81.5mm bore/piston. If you want it to be absolutely bulletproof, then I would go with aftermarket sleeves, but that's also another $800+.

call race engineering (561 533 5500) they have good deals and they know their stuff. size wise, you can tell the shop to bore the block 20 over get 20 over pistons and theyll fit right up. this will also increase you displasment to more then 1.8L.
