Yes, but if you've got a car whose stock tire size is 195/55-15 (like many Integras) or 185/65-14 (like other Integras or some recent Civics), don't be afraid to get 195/55-15 winter tires for those wheels. Most of winter tires are available in this size, as noted in this post.

stock my car (2G civic) has 155's on it. last year i used 155's all around and it handled better than any car i've had in the snow. i'd like to get the tire as thin as possible, since my car is so light, it would be like driving on skis if i don't...

They don't make any 15" winter tires narrower than 185. If you want to get winter tires for 15" wheels on your car, get 185/55-15, which is the smallest 15" size available, and is the closest match for the outer diameter of your stock tires.

If you want to use 155 treadwidth winter tires, you will need to use 13" wheels, because that's the only size wheel 155 treadwidth tires are available for.

i ended up going with 196/60-15's causes the speedo to be off a bit, but they were the only size in the brand i was looking for that would fit. they run only when i lock the wheel in a turn so that's not a big deal.

i'd put the 13's back on but they don't fit over my NSX calipers/GSR rotors.
