Default Cloth vs Alcantara?

Im purchasing seats in the near future that come in both options.. The alcantara is about 100 bucks less... Now, I've never felt or seen alcantara in person(Not knowingly anyway...)... Can anyone comment on its quality? How long it last compared to cloth? What it feels like? Thanks in advance for any help...

i've had both versions of recaros in both alcantara and the clothe type. the clothe srd's wore out in a about two years of daily driving, especially in the bolsters and where the seatbelt crossed the top of the seats. also, the seat bottoms began to thin out pretty quickly.

however on the alcantara seats, the "suede" is noticibably thicker that the clothe fabric and is more durable, holding up to the rigors of daily usage much better. they also look so much nicer.

have you ever seen integra type r seats in person

the stuff on the outer part of the seat is alacantra

if taken care of, its much stronger and will last longer than regular fabric
