Default wtf return spring?

i have a boosted ls motor, i went to push in the clutch one day and i heard 'snap' and i was like 'uhh wtf'.. well the clutch (stage 3) feels so easy to push in now. i took it to my buddys shop, he said it was the return spring..i have cable to hydro 95gsr tranny.. and he tightened the clutch cable and it feels better now.. but my question is, how long will this last? i don't have money to replace it right now. is it really fkn serious that it needs to be replaced asap? and what exactly would be needing replacement?

depends .....spring on the clutch? (not sure if stage 3 has this) and not really sure about the cable tranny, but the clutch fork should still have a small metal spring, shaped weird tho, If that broke...it would NOT make the clutch EASIER to push
