Default Lexan Windows? ANyone have em...

I am interested in knowing if anyone has a Lexan hatch Window on there DC. Quality wise? Durability? I know these are not for daily driver but my Window got broken by some jackass a week ago and I have not been able to find a deal on a window and I dont wanna pay a ridiculous amount for a new one. Lexans only go for $220 from Summit.

They get scratched up very easily.

Go to a junk yard or call a winshield repair company, they can do it for much cheaper. My corolla only cost $165 to replace a cracked windshield.

Naw man the glass is completly shattered, the only way to fix it would be to buy a new one... I need the rear hatch glass.

Personally, I would buy the FAL if I were in your shoes. I know several people with street cars that run the 3 piece FAL lexan kit.

Yea well thats what I think Summit carries, I am fortunate enough live only 5 minutes away from a Summit racing so thats were I would buy it. I just want some input on like if they scratch easy or anything else that would damage them....

that's the ****. I love that fugg'n store, I would spend waaay too much money there though.

It will scratch easier than glass obviously becasue it's not *** hard as glass. They sell polishes specifically for lexan that will keep it looking good.

And yes they scratch easy. Thats why people don't put them on cars they drive everyday. But they are very hard to break and obviously don't weigh alot.

HaHa, the Carbon-Fiber Hatch with the Lexan would be sick!!! I'm trying to get that ****. Along with the JDM front/rear bumper supports. That's like 60lbs. Weight reduction!

damm that fucken sucks man... A couple years back I was looking for the rear glass for an EG and the cheapest I found was $450. I was lucky enough to get on off HT for $90 bucks ......So I figure one for a DC is gonna be the same if not more...
