yes... that is a very serious problem, yet... very common... it's a sensor located somewhere inside the car that is set to "come to life" when a ignorant person walks by..... I think is safe to say that you should not approach to the car ever again!!!

ya know one did that to me friday and i found a serv. bull about that and it said the idiot working on the car has a faulty brain or a wire shorted to ground!
