Best lines at this track?
I have been going to this local indoor kart track lately and wanted to know the best lines to take in the corners and where the apex would be.
Why not ask someone at the facility itself who has run the track before. Its really hard providing guidance on racing lines over the internet. We don't know if there are any elevation changes, camber changes, how wide the track is, what sort of pavement it is,etc.
hmmmm, yeah. go right before closing time and ask around until you find someone good that works there to drive in front of you for a few laps. buy em a beer and you're golden.
like everyone else has said you need to ask someone that works there.
Some of the indoor places put something down that will give you better traction. I know the place I used to go to would change the line that had grip every few weeks. so the line would change almost every time you would go back. half the fun it trying different lines and finding the one that works!

Yeah, went to a prebachelor party thing there on Thursday. Haven't been in years since they consolidated both tracks into one. A little pricey but addicting to say the least. I wasn't looking for a specific answer but more generally where the "apex" of a curve would be (I'm just learning).

From my understanding, the line to follow is the one that requires the least amount of [steering] correction to set your self up for the 'straight' coming out of a turn. The less you turn the faster you are.
For some reason I doubt the map is accurate or to scale. Every indoor kart track I've been to has the same type of map. It's the basic configuration but it's hardly to scale.
So I guess just go and see if you can do a "follow the leader" with an experienced employee there.
