What do you guys think of these wheels ...
They are imported and badged as Speedy wheels in Australia. They look like a rip off of the spoon/rota/regamaster rims (which we cant easily get hold of here). Is it possible that it could be one of those (well not the Spoons!!) rebadged?
How do guys think they compare spec wise and price wise.
They cost about $250 for 15" = US$130 each. Think they're about $300 for 16" = US$155 each. The 15" weighs 6kg (13.2lbs) and the 16" 7.0kg (16.1lbs).

Oh there are also these Advan RG ripoffs ... only in 15" though. They weigh 6.3kg (13.9lbs).
I'm considering either of these for my teg (no I dont expect you guys to tell me which ones are "cool" ... I'll decide that on my own
)
Cheers
Mike

you can grab a set of rota's for around $400 shipped without tires, why spend more money for the same style wheel. i know a knockoff is a knockoff but why spend more money then you have to?
The Rota Slipstream that is available in the US is lighter than what you are claiming those to be, so you may want to do your best and get some from the US (not sure HOW tough that is for you.... I know you just said that it is from your post though) if wieght is important to you.

Yeah I would very much like Rotas (the Mugen ripoffs in bronze actually) but they're not a wheel generally stocked here in Australia. If there is a place here that has them ... they probably know that ... and charge accordingly = $$$
It sux living here when it comes to performance parts ... cant get an AEM CAI, cant get an Icebox, cant get a Helms manual, cant get decent rims, cant get an exhaust for a decent price ... the list goes on
The $400 dollars for rotas shipped sounds very good ... but I doubt it would be to Australia!!
Thanks
Mike

Hehehe ... yeah guess you got me there!! I was considering a Skyline GTS ... but the turbo check box on the insurance policy would've triggered a self destruct mechanism I'm sure!!
Silvias are common as anything here and WRX's aren't much better. Guess its kinda the opposite here ... Hondas are no where near as common. In fact I spent the last couple of years looking for mine!

www.groupbuycenter.com is a decent site to get a good deal on some parts. Some retailers have good prices, some don't. If I were you though, I'd call the retailer and ask about shipping to you. It may be worth it for you to spend a few extra bucks on shipping to get better parts.
