i'm looking to build a cheap turbo kit for my d16y8. i dont got that much money and i was wondering what stock turbo would fit on a hf manifold. and boost quicker and hold the boost with out losing it at high rpms. i'm trying to keep my buget real low due to funds but i want something reliable also. what turbo should i use and fit on the hf mani?

 

You can use any turbo you want as long as you get an adapter plate made for that turbo..14b,t3,t25,etc are all small turbos that can be had cheap ..Get them from dsms,saabs,volvos,chrysler,etc..

one more question on the stock turbos can u adjust the internal wastegate for abit more boost?

Yeah you can..Get a boost controller..Or change the spring in the internal wastegate..
