Default Going from Coilovers to GC/Koni Setup PLEASE HELP! long and PICS

My 93 hatch came with a set of coilovers on it and now I am switching them out for a GC/Koni setup. I am having a few issues with parts compatability since I dont have all the stock parts just whats on the coilovers on the car.

Here is what I have to work with

First off Koni instructions SUCK! is all the hard ware on the shock in the right place and order? I labeled the stuff I didnt have or didnt fit

Second when I went to put the top hat on the konis it wouldnt fit because the metal sleves in the bushings are too small. Is this normal? Koni provides one long metalsleve do I press out the 2 small ones and insert the koni sleve through both?

Third I cannot get the bump stops off of the old coilovers where do I get a set with out giving up my first born to Honda?

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED! Pictures are a +!

There was a thread that had some decent pictures in it https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1212527 But when he gets to the top of the assembly with every thing I need to see that stupid dust boot covers it all up. Also I just noticed he left the dust covers out while Ground Control says to leave 1 1/2" of it

I dont remeber my koni coming with bumpstops??? Whatever.

The bumpstops should just slide off with a little 'aiding'. But not too much. As for the dustcover, the stock one is not going to fit as its made for the stock (10mm I think) strut. So, you can either make your own or make do without one. And, as for the sleeves, use the ones koni provides. You hammer/press out the old ones, and hammer/press in the new ones. Shouldnt take more than a few seconds-minutes max. Once the old one is out, just tap the new 12mm one from the koni package in and you should be good to go.

I am actually about to rip apart my suspension for the 3rd time in as many weeks tomorrow. I finally purchased a camera so I will post some pics sometime tomorrow to give you a better idea on how things go together. Good luck

if you could do that that would really help! in my diagram does every thing appear to be in the right order?

Also I found some rubber grommets that are for the eye hole that some shocks have and was thinking about using those for bump stops they are about 1 inch long and 1 inch across and have a 12 mm hole in them. The ones on my coilovers that I already have have a big metal thing above them so the will not come off with out cutting

Alright, I have to make this quick. I gots some school work to do

The first picture is of the shock in pieces (I used a GC top hat, but, everythhing else is similar)

The next pic is putting on the white o-ring (sorry, hand is in the way)

Next comes the spring

Next is foam bump stop and washer (dont forget this washer by the way)

Then the rubber insulator for the front (you will be using your stock one as well as top hat)

Thats pretty much the same deal with your top hat with the 12mm sleeve tapped into the rubber bushings from the top (I see you have the picture above. With that pic, the only difference would be the 12mm sleeve). So, from where I ended, all you have to do is tap the 12mm sleeve in, put on the top hat, then bolt her back up to the suspension (and make sure any washers that you have taken off as well in the correct order. If not, consult a helms manual or I can upload a picture of a completely disassembled system).

I hope that helps. If you need pics of anything else, I will try and get some for ya (but it probably is not going to be untill next weekend, sorry )

I will be doign a full write up on install with GC top hats and all.

P.S. In my first pic, those two nuts you see with the shiny metal washer below the one on the right, after you put your top hat on, the washer then those to nuts are placed atop the top hat.
