Default Tie rod.

I need to replace the passenger side outer tie rod in no time. I can't seperate it from the inner tie rod. I can seperate it from the knuckle but the other side of it i have real hard time. I tried using the little torch and heated it up but it didn't work. I twist the tie rod counterclockwise right?

Does anyone have any better methods/tricks on how to do it? The suspension moves when shifting due to bad tie rod. This just drives me nuts.
Thanks in advance.

you should leave the bolt connected until you loosen the tie rod end.

use a wrench, it has a slot for it to fit over.

once you loosen it, count how many times you spin it to remove it so you can put the new one on similiar.

also its a good idea to get an alignment once done since its going to throw the alignment off a little bit regardless.

So i leave the tie rod connected to the knuckle and i twist the inner tie rod counterclockwise or clockwise? Although, leaving it connected to the knuckle or not does not make a difference, it's still has to be screwed out. So i don't see how would it matter which side you're trying to twist.
The problem is it is seized that i can't twist it all.

I forget the size of the wrenches, but you need an open-end 19mm or so for the lock nut that connects the inner tie rod to the outer, and you need a 21mm or so to hold the inner tie rod in place so you have some leverage on the lock nut. I know I had a bitch of a time getting 1 of mine off, took me over an hour.

I ended up sticking my entire head and shoulders in the wheel well, in front of the rotor, with my back to the front bumper, and pushed the lock nut wrench away from me, while pulling the inner tie rod wrench toward me to keep it in place (or something like that). I was so tired by the end of that ordeal I forgot what the hell I did, I remember tapping it with a hammer, but I never used a torch. The heat should help though, so good luck.

Even helms manual doesn't tell you how to take them out or which way to losen it. This is ridiculous.

Lefty loosie righty tighty.

Facing the tie rod end, rotate counterclockwise.

Put the balljoint end back into the knuckle and secure it with the catle nut. Break the 19mm jam nut loose (clockwise facing where the wheel would be, counter if you're under the vehicle, you want to thread it down the shaft), Then hold the inner tie rod with a 14mm wrench, and the outer near where the jamnut was with the 19mm (could be 17mm) and twist. It will loosen up believe me if had some stiff ones.

I am in the same situation. The jam nut is loose, and so is the ball joint, but the outer tie rod end simply will not loosen from the inner tie rod end. I've stripped the 14mm inner tie rod end (was crappy fitment to begin with) trying to separate the two. This is for the passenger's side. driver's side was cake.

I may just have the shop deal with it. I hate spending money on that, I just cant separate them.

P.S. I've tried heating it up 4-5 times with a blowtorch and I use plenty of PB blaster...
