Simply removing the top outer nut on the stock antenna mast allows you to remove the old electric antenna mast. Remove the nut and turn the radio on. This will discard the old antenna and the nylon wire that is attached. To install the new antenna, push the new nylon cable down thru the antenna assembly hole until it stops. Then go into the car and turn the radio off. You will hear the antenna motor and you should see the antenna recoil into the motor. Once the motor has stopped, put the metal part of the antenna mast into the motor assembly and reinstall the gland nut on the top of the antenna.
