Does Hondata work with obd3 (2001 GSR)?
2001 is OBD II not 3...I don't think 3 exists?
And Hondata only works with OBD I, so yes you need to get an OBD I ecu and wiring harness.

Yeah it is a OBD3, its not even a OBD2, how i found out is because i was going to buy a Greddy Turbo Kit but they didnt make it for my car, when i Mailed greddy, they told me my computer chip is different from the 96-99 (obd2), and my friend (EH_Hatch) told me my car is a OBD3.

technically, its not called obd3 .. there are 2 kinds of obd2 - 1996-1998 and 1999-2001.
and yes, hondata only works with a obd1 computer so you have to get the harness.

Technically its not called OBD3 because that is actually in the works. Ive heard OBDIII is going to have a bunch of sht on it like a GPS so the goverment can track your location and speed at all times and give you tickets anytime you speed. Of course that crap will never make it passed the constitution and its probably just some BS rumors anyway but OBD3 is in the works and Im confident it is going to suck.
