Default Extended Lug install question

Do you have to press the hubs off to install extended studs on and eg? They look like they might clear.. Anyone have any insight? Thanks!

I did mine without pressing out the hubs.

1.) Remove rotors/calipers.
2.) Get a big hammer and bang the old ones out.
3.) Grind down the edge of the end of the studs so they will clear the backing.
4.) Get some washers and put them over the stud and then put on the lugnut and pull it through with an impact gun to get it in all the way.
5.) Spend the two hours you just saved doing it this way and go cruuuuusin.

Ive heard this way only works with EG's because they have a notch in the hub so the new ones will clear.

Thanks for the link! That helps alot.. I didnt even think about using a slide hammer.

I do actually need to pull the hubs.. I forgot that I have new hubs that came with my DSS stage 5 axles.

good info, you just saved me lots of time. thanks. Also, ive heard its recommended to spot weld the back of the stud. Is that really necessary?

i just ground down a small notch in the hub itself, cause i was tired of tearing up studs and replacing bearings. its ghetto but it works like a champ
