Default 404 cams...can't get my car to idle!!!

I just finish putting in my 98 b18b: Crower 404 cams, skunk2 cam gears, crane springs and retainer, p30 pistons and new rod bearings+ Arp rod bolts + Arp head studs!!

My car will not idle and if I don't press on the gas it will just turn and will not start!! What's going on everything is hooked up right!!! ( running a obd1 p75 ecu)

Help please or point me in a direction!!!

Thanks!!!

Well first the cams are huge, i took me a while to tune them out on idle on my old B16... Just try a differnt ECU, or u could just hooked up the tps and map sensors backwards

you need to play with the idle adjustment on the throttle body. the 404's are a pretty big cam and require more than 750rpm to idle.

also you should have someone with access to a chip burner re-program your OBD1 ECU to idle a little higher and leaner. the 404's will make you run rich at idle since there is not as much engine vacuum

I will start by overlaping the cams (-1 on Int. and +1 on exh.) while playing with the idle screw!! (open for higer idle right???)

What sort of engine management are you running? With the setup you're describing, you can't expect the motor to run properly on a stock, untuned ECU.

Keep in mind that without some kind of engine management, when you take your car to get dyno tuned, they can pretty much only tune the cam gears, and fuel pressure if you have an adjustable regulator. You be better off getting something that you can tune. Like uberdata, chrome, hondata, microtech, or a SAFC, etc. Without these they can't really tune it much. They might be able to gain you like 5 hp or so.
