Something went very wrong during Tune... Help me out guys.
Well I was all happy today, knowing that I was finally going to get my car tuned. I chose to go with Jason (SFWD 1934) since he seemed to have a good background in boosted honda's, and he was a cool dude, that seemed willing to help me learn.
Anyway, I take my car to DSR in San Jose and get that bitch strapped on the dyno. First 3 pulls made a little over 300hp on a stock motor with my 67 trim t04b, and after Jason told me to switch out the sparkplugs (#7 plugs gapped accordingly) to do the 4th run... the car took a crap on us. It would just bogg n die and run pig rich. I was so stoked when I saw how much power it made, but after the fall I felt like all my hard work putting this setup together, just went down the hatch. My heart just felt like givin up basically lol. (seriously)
Jason found 2 poped fuses, one was the engine management fuse (inside the engine bay box) and the other, was from under that dash (not sure which one - gotta find out from Jason). Also we knowticed that my IACV started making this wining noise while the car was off, but with the ignition in the ON position.
We pulled the CEL's and this is what we got: Coolent temp sensor, IACV, and knock sensor. Jason had already disabled the knock sensor on crome in the previous runs. I'm not even sure why that code came up. I know that Jason will come through on this POS position that I'm in right now, but I'd like to get a little feedback from any of you members, that can also help us try to determine what my problem is. I just wanna get this bitch running, since it's my daily driver.
Jason, has an idea that it has to be either a problem in the distributor, a short in my harness, or a crapped out ecu.
Just gotta wait till Monday, since Jason went to the races down South. So untill then, help me out guys. What else can I check for? Stuff like that.
TIA,
Nick

Your using a p06 converted to p28 right? This is a shot in the dark but on the first p06 vtec conversion i did, after hitting vtec a couple of times it would throw a CEL and then drive really shitty. I think it ended up being the high side switch. I got it from Xenocron and that fixed everything.
like i said i don't even know if it could be related but its a shot in the dark.
kudos to your tuner and the HP#s.

yeah its the p06 convert from member 93turbo16. High side switch eh... I'll look into that, but would it cause fuses to blow, and throw CEL's up the anus? BTW my car is an OBD2 GSR.
I'm sure Jason's gonna fix it, but I'd just like more ideas thrown on the table. Thanks though.

you could try running your ecu on a buddies car to try and rule out the ECU. The problems you describe are weird... my only guess, if its not the ECU is a possible short.

Actually, my lil bro has a chipped p28... I'll try using my eprom on his ecu, on my car. That should rule out the ecu, or we can do what you recomended as well.
I fuggin hope its not a harness short! (crosses fingers)

Just got into Palmdale. Checking to see how everything was going on here. Like I said, I think we toasted the igniter/distributor. That poor stock ignition set up had 105,000 miles on it. So yea it will be fixed on Monday. Then we will just have to clean up the last AFR from 7500-8000.

Actually, Jason tried that already. He even spliced those grounds and wired them to the chassis, no luck.
