Default OEM vs. Aftermarket Parts

I am thinking of converting to NGK Blue wires rather than OEM Honda from the Bosch wires that are currently on my '96 LX and trying to justify if it is worth paying the extra $75 more for the OEM.

Also I am thinking about using Standard Ignition distributor cap and rotor vs. OEM. Since I have had good luck with Standard Ignition in my other cars and trying to figure out if it is worth the extra $70 also that the Honda Dealers want for OEM.

Does anyone have any suggestions on if I would be ok with these two brands or should it be a must that I stick with OEM?

Thanks!

as far as the cap and rotar are concerned honda parts are much better than ur run of the mill parts store cap and rotar. the cheaper rotars tend to not fit as well and could cause a spark jump, cap isnt as big of a deal but wont last as long, and the connectors arent as good. with aftermarket wires you are looking at they arent going to make a big enough difference you might see 1 hp so its nothing ull ever feel, and ur gas mileage wount be affected either. if ur looking to get more power you will have to spend some money on ignition stuff to actually be able to feel a difference...such as nology hotwires, msd blastercoil, good plugs etc

OEM is the way to go, but you may be able to find a better price on-line. But maybe not. Check around.
