where to cut for '90 cold air intake install???
just got a cold air intake two piece set-up... how much can I cut without messing up something? is this going to affect my frame integrity to take a big chunk out under my battery box? do I have to move the battery? any help would be great -- e-bay prices are nice but no install instructions....
Why would you have to cut for a cold air??? Just pull the intake resonator out of the bumper and it should fit.... that's why it's considered a bolt-on
If it was made for your car, you don't have to cut anything. It will go where your factory intake box in your bumper went, there is a big hole there. Again, you shouldn't have to cut.
I hope I'm not being retarded -- but let me clarify... this is a 1990 accord and the air box is already removed, the battery is out of the way and the battery holder is removed... the air intake looks like it shoud go right under the front passenger headlight, but there is only metal -- no plastic to remove to get in there... the old intake has two ports that went though the frame there, but they are only about 1 1/2 inch diameter... so did I get the wrong intake??? is there another way to get in between that front tire and bumper??? should I just cut the intake and put the filter next to the battery??? thanks
where should it fit? can i just cut the second peice a little shorter so it sets on the side of the battery? it doesn't look like this year accord even has a way to get into that area in front of the tire without cutting....

You prolly have the wrong intake, check it again and if its not it email him back saying i got the wrong one and do a exchange or go to home depot make one for ur self for under 30 buxs. Home depot intake = ebay intake...so no difference
