hey so my abs light came on aobut a month ago and i pulled the code today and its 6-1
so i searched it up and it said its fail safe relay (f)
do you guys know where this relay is located?

Both are located toward the right front.

Wasnt sure which braking system you had so there is both

 

thats not it... i called acura and gave them the number on the relay and the guy said it was for a/c../ i have a 96 gsr if that makes it any different. i need to find this quick so i can fix it before the rain comes...

help HELP!!!!

code 6-1 is indeed the fail-safe relay circuit. on our 96 it's located by the RF headlight, right below it.

to check relay, check for continuity between terminals C and D. do the same for A and B and C and D.

*note*-terminals C and D should have continuity when battery is connected and no continuity when off.


the procedure above is only for checking the relay itself. if not the relay, visually inspect the wiring if there are any frays or loose connections. if all else fails, let me know-i have the OEM repair manual for the 96 Integra.

 

aww crap mines a 6-1 for a 98+ ignition voltage anyone know the difference????
