crx dx swap?
i have a 88 crx dx and a 89 hf. what i was wondering is if i took the motor,tranny,wiring harness, and ecu out of my hf will it work in my dx. i am just needing to put it in till i buy a dohc zc motor....what all do i need to do in order for it to work?
All that **** bolts in..But swapping the entire harness from the hf is a pain and the hard way....You're better off just converting the stock dx wire harness to multi-point injection..There's a shitload of writeups how to do it on the net
If you are just trying to "get by" until you get another engine, probably the easiest thing would be to pull the engine or engine tranny out of the HF, and don't do any conversion yet. You can just use the intake manifold off the DX and keep the 2 injector set up.
Or, since you will have to eventually convert to the multi-point, do the conversion now. Either purchase the harness upgrade or search the net for the wiring instructions.
