What causes master cylinder leak??
i have 00 gsr, and my cluch was acting gay for a long time, so i beed day by day to get some stiff pedal feel back. well, today i check under the pedal whats up?, the rubber thing on M/C looked wet, so i touch yes it was wet. it wasnt leak much. it seems like leak very lil by lil. my car only have 40k miles on stock cluch. why this happend to me so early?
*this rubber part shouldnt be wet right??*

is the clutch fuid black?
Its pretty common from Mc's and slaves to go bad, if you have a stiffer aftermarket clutch the chances of craping out are greater

The fact that you have low mileage might not be as important as the years on the clock. Mechanical parts fail, especially if there are rubber seals involved and possibly yours was defective from the get-go. Swap it out and be on your way.

maybe you could re-phrase that question....How many miles are on your car cause that same thing happened to my DC I just have not been able to fix yet.

LOLz you guys read the post at all? 40k miles.
well. i guess its somthing to do with the cluch too. since someone said siffence pedal is nothing to do with M/C, its something to do with the pressure plate.

in regards to using dot 3 or dot 4 fluid as the top of the cap says, to fill the cap would putting dot 3 or dot 4 make a difference.. do they both mix i have the same prob which i am in the middle of fixing but in the meantime i need to refill the resevior but am not sure what fluid is in there now
Dot 3 and Dot 4 fluid mix.
behind that seal cover there should be grease, but not enough for it to be leaking out on the floor. Pop it off and look for brake fluid. Better yet clean off the rod, and inside the seal, but make sure there is some grease inside. Then drive it around for a day or so and check it.
