Default Best boltons for a stock motor?

Guys, I'm trying to decide what bolt-ons are best for a motor that will stay stock. Possibly a set of type R cams down the road a year or so and thats it.

Intake?
I have half the box from the ice box left over from the remains of my first teg.
To get the intake pipe and mounting hardware from comptech it 170$.
On the other hand the new AEM V2 is a nice piece but costs 250$.
What do you thing out of the 2?
Header?
I use to have the comptech 4-2-1 and like it because of quality, ground clearence, and good gains throughout the rev band.
Would a 4-1 with 2.5 collector be overkill? I plan on keeping the motor stock.
Exhaust = Another tanabe hyper and car sound 2.25 or 2.5.

Any advice apreciated

I know but after having one stolen I don't plan to invest alot of money into the car.

Long as I have enough power to have a little fun I'm not like a die hard racer.

stick with the ice box far nicer piece then the v2. yoru headers are nice, but u will gain more from a 4to1 if u are going to do cams, and if u choose cams i would do skunk2 stage 1 cams, larger then itr/ctr cams, and come with a carb sticker nice add

i think if you are only doing bolt-ons, what you have is already good. no need to spend more money for probably no gains. get some nice parts for your suspension unstead.

My car is stock. The only thing left over from my olf GSR is the box portion of the ice box. No header nothing.

That was hilarious.
Go pick up the latest Turbo magazine issues. They are doing a "Volton" build on a gsr that are all 50 state legal. So far aem cai, unorthodox underdrive pulleys, intake mani, header, catback exhaust, skunk 2 stg 1 cam, cam gears. Making a 180.5 hp at the wheels. THey are probably using aem ems also. hella expensive(1500)

oh, sorry. well, i would do the suspension first. if you already have the suspension done and just want bolt-on i/h/e, get whatever you can find that's a good deal. if you are planning on put in camshafts later, i would look for a 2.5inch header, at least a 2.36inch piping exhaust, high flow cat or test pipe and any intake with a good filter.

I guess the real questions are:
1. Buy existing parts for Ice box or buy AEM V2?
2. Comptech 4-2-1 or 4-1 with 2.5 collector?
3. N1 or Hyper?

if you plan on keeping your car stock then the Comptech header will be fine. a 2" collector is good up to about 190whp, only if you get aggresive cams and want 200+whp should you get a 2.5" exhaust or you will lose some low-end torque.

the icebox is a great intake and so is the V2 but i would personally go with the icebox just because the V2 is a bitch to install and the icebox is a nice sleeper look.

Do you guys believe Import Tuners dyno's?
http://www.importtuner.com
http://importtuner.com/powerpages/0407it_ppintegra/
http://importtuner.com/powerpages/0205it_ppintegra/
PROS
The AEM V2 intake is a monster. Constructed from mandrel-bent aluminum the intake draws cold-air for the passenger side fender well for cooler charger air. Cooler charge air equals to more horsepower. Also a notable is the large four-inch piping and cone filter that the V2 intake utilizes.

CONS
The intake is loud--really loud--but if you are into that, I guess it's not a bad thing.

i think the aem v2 is cool, but i heard it doesn't make any power over the first aem cai. i would stick with the comptech icebox with a good filter. again, if you are just putting on bolt-ons just get whatever you can get for a good price. if you plan on getting cams later on, you should get a 2.5 header.

I have the Comptech filter as well. Just need the polished arm and mounting hardware. For some reason the thiefs took the polished arm and left the box and filter. Comptech wants 170$ for the polished arm and mounting brackets. Almost enough to buy a V2. That's why I'm really trying to make sure before I spend$.

I really want to know which will perform better on a stock motor.

AEM V2 or Ice box
Comptech 4-2-1 vs jdm 4-1 with 2.5 on a stock motor

I'll probably going to get another Tanabe Hyper for an Exhaust.

i'd go with the jdm 4-1 for the header since you're looking to upgrade your cams. i hate aem, so i would have to say icebox. you can't go wrong with either exhaust.

comptech icebox wont hydro-lock.
comptech is quieter.

I had the aem cai, but swtiched out for the comptech cai set-up when I put a sk2im on. I am much happier with not having to hear the intake quite as much. Less of a whistle when changing accellerator positions.

no hydro-lock, not really loud, easier to clean filter, you can use stock intake arm and it looks closer to stock form.
