Default Motors in the rain.

I have an d16a6 and a d15b2 motor sitting in the back of my house that i eventually was going to toy with and there have been a few rainy days in the past few weeks here in CA.

A few parts are starting to rust like the pulley and clutch , should i chuck both engines in the trash or salvage what i can ? is there some way to clean off the rust??? Thanks in advance

dont toss them ..its prolly just surface rust which can be sanded off. Are the motors covered? you should get some trash bags and cover them...as long as the internals/head arent getting water in them your ok. If the rust is worse than surface rust buy a rust inhibitor gel and slap that stuff on

This rust gel you speak of, does it go by any other name and is it fairly inexpensive?
