Hello (New member to the board)
How's it going, all? 'Been an s2k owner for 3 weeks now, and I love it more and more each day. 'Hope to get to know you all in time. Take it easy, and if you're in CA, drive carefully in this rain.

haha! Curse this damn trial period. I'm already at my 5th post. Alright here it goes:
'05 S2000, Silverstone Metallic @1000 miles (exactly lol)
current mods:
-Squash Air Freshener
-Multiple Micro Fiber Towels housed in trunk, along with Meguiar's quick detailer and 303 Aerospace protectant
-Berk Tech. Test Pipe Still in original box, collecting dust in trunk.
future plans:
-comptech s/c
-some red bride seats
-intake snorkel (someone sell me one!)
I know it's lame, but hey, I just got her. Oh well. I'll post some pics tomorrow I guess.

Squash, Microfiber, Meguiars, 303 =
I wouldn't put the test pipe on unless you're at the tracks. Cops peek under cars here. What you can also do is wrap the testpipe in Thermotec, then sandwich the OEM cat heatshield on. Looks like a cat!

I was going to do just that. But I was concerned about how tight a fit it would be, trying to put the OEM shield on top of it. That and the fact that you would probably see a hell of a lot more emissions under hard acceleration, if I'm not mistaken. Hell, wouldn't it be puttin' out more smoke when it's just idling.
Man, 5 posts a day is not enough. I had to delete one of my older posts just do post this one up. lmfao. Anyone here post on s2ki?

With the Berketech, the O2 placement is a bit further out of hte exhaust stream. It might make your car run a bit rich, esp. at idle, so it smells like a turbo car.

i've got that test pipe.. it does smell... but it's really not that bad... the only time you really smell it is when you're backing up into a parking spot when the top or your windows are down... .. i've had mine on for ehhh about 3 weeks now.. and still no CEL!!!..

The CEL is not a problem, they benefitted off our trial and errors. It does negate the need for that $5 spark plug anti fouler, which is a plus for those who are oblivious to O2 sensor tuning.
I'm sure with my luck, the CEL will go off. 'Gonna go ahead with the install tomorrow, then remove it. Hell, I got nothign to do. I just wanna hear how it sounds...

put in the pipe after i did my first oil change. lovin' the sound, but at first the smell really got to me. for some reason, though, the smell isn't as prominent anymore. no cel yet, either... /knock on wood.
