what does this mean when you pull out your spark plugs and 2 of them have oil on them??????? i have a 93 ls 140000 miles,,,,doesn't burn oil or smoke out the tailpipe......

how much are the "O" rings?

i need to replace one of them. But since im gonna have to open up the valve cover and stuff, i might as well replace them all.


are they easy to replace?

 

Takes 20min to replace them...I did it last week.

Each ring is $2-3 from the dealer.

what about the valve cover gasket?

after u take off the valve cover, do u have to seal the gasket? or just leave it the way it is..........

damn $2-3 each? my dealer ripped me off then.. i paid like $5.75 each for the spark plug gaskets... i also got hondabond for the valve cover gasket especially around the contours/curves.. its needed there... since i had the valve cover open.. i did my valve adjustment too...

 

I've got a brand new valve cover gasket sitting here. When I pull off the valve cover to do a valve adjustment, should I use Honda bond, or does the new gasket cover me in this situation? I'm making a trip down to the parts department tomorrow so I might as well ask for some if it's needed.

you might as well get some hondabond to put on the perimeters especially the contours/curves of your new valve cover just to make sure it makes a good seal.. you dont wanna have to re=pop it open cuz its leaking/sprayin oil or something..

 

ok, i went to auto zone to purchase 4 new "spark plug gasket". The guy at the parts section told me, there isn't such a thing.


so, what is it called agian? o ring? spark plug seal? somthing-somthing?
