my civic got wrecked, tell me what you think insurance will do.
I was driving down the road, when some kid took a left out of a parking lot right in front of me, causing a head on collision. He was drivinng a blazer. I was in my 1991 Civic Hatch DX. I swerved to the left so the accident basically took out the whole right side of my car. I had an estimate of $3,400. So my question is do you think this persons insurance will total my car? It had 92k on it, and in "good conditon" according to kelly's blue book. Also how long does it typically take to get insurance sorted out. Any help ,advice, and input would be appreciated. Thanks.
go get high estimates to fix it, then cash settle, take it somewhere cheaper and use the extra money to do a motor swap.
i'm pretty sure they'll total it too. i think the insurance should have it all sorted out in less than a month [my bro got part of his 99 civic ruined and the insurance company took about that time to get money into his hands].
Listen to Rex on this one. Make sure you get some diff estimates then take the extra cash and buy something nice...
