My CRX is making a rattling noise does anybody know what it could be?
Hi I bought a 1988 CRX about a month ago and it is in pretty good condition except it has started making a rattling noise. It only makes it sometimes. It sounds fine if I am driving it fast or revving high but if my foot is only slightly on the accellorator in first to third gear it sometimes sounds quite unhealthy and rattles.
I asked my mate who knows a bit more about cars than me and he said it might be the clutch release bearing. He only said this because we noticed the clutch release bearing makes a whistling noise when it is in neutral and the clutch is not pressed down (because when the clutch was changed they forgot to change the bearing). I don't think this has anything to do with the rattling noise because the clutch release bearing is not engaged when the car is in gear.
Does anybody know what this noise could be, and is it anything to worry about?
thanks

I have the same rattle aswell.
But i have ignored it. Since there is a lot more rattles too. :D Its just one of all. Just use correct rpm and release clutch correctly. And you avoid the rattle.
